What is Rett syndrome?

Rett syndrome is a rare neuro-developmental disorder that predominantly affects girls. It causes severe physical and cognitive impairments, impacting mobility, speech, and hand use.

How can I support Rett SA?

You can support us through donations, volunteering, fundraising, or raising awareness about Rett syndrome in your community.

How common is Rett syndrome?

It occurs in approximately 1 in every 10,000 to 25,000 girls worldwide. While rare in boys, cases do exist, but survival is often limited.

How can Rett SA help my family?

Rett SA provides support, educational resources, and connections to healthcare professionals. We also offer a community for families to share experiences and advice.

Is there a cure for Rett syndrome?

Currently, there is no cure, but research is advancing, and therapies can significantly improve quality of life.
